eye contact

An article called "Behaving correctly at work" suggested 'what not to do at work' (CPA Update) and one of them was about eye contact. It says "It is important to make eye contact without staring. One suggestion is to look at the person you are addressing directly between their eyebrows, but no more than 60 per cent of the time." Well, in my country traditionally making an eye-contact with seniors, supervisors and people who are older than us(in general situations) when they are talking is regarded as 'being impolite'... We are supposed to look at around their chest.... Well, now you could guess what happened to me when I came to Australia... Whenever I talked to female teachers my eyes are their chest level... and most females dressed very 'sexy' compared to we Asian (only a few years ago but not now.. I think)... Awww... I just didn't know where to look at!!!!! I had to choose feeling rude or getting embarrassed!
