communication

The most significant limitation of the telephone is that it does not allow as rich a discussion as is possible when we are face to face. The reason for this is that humans evolved as face-to-face communicators. When we communicate we monitor non-verbal cues such as facial expression, body posture and movements and tactile gestures. Studies have shown that these aspects are more important than words when it comes to issues such as developing and maintaining trust. Limiting the communication mechanism to verbal, limits the type and complexity of knowledge that can be transferred and achieving desired outcomes becomes more difficult.(KM, CPA study materials)

Then, what about texting and e-mailing?? How often do we communicate face-to-face with people we love, people we hate, people we need... The great image is from www.bi.no/Content/Article____65263.aspx
