1. gray sky : whether it's due to pollution or just bad weather, it was so gray 2. people : they look extremely busy and trendy but they all forget the must-have fashion item - SMILE 3. traffic : BAD 4. air : I don't know why but it smells like Seoul's... strange.. 5. shops and streets : many small shops and heaps of convenient stores 6. weather in Nov : cold air, gray sky, depressing evening.. 7. mountains : Mel has real mountains.. not like Perth's flat hills...
But Mel is far too small to compare to the giant capital city, Seoul... I like it very much as it reminds me of my hometown.. Especially, when I was on Great Ocean Road tour I thought I was in somewhere in Korea - high mountains, roads going around mountains up and down, windy weather, the smell..
The house taken in the photo above was the only survivor from the storm in 1983 (or 93? I thought I remembered it but still not sure!) in this area. The photo is taken from the bus so it's a bit difficult to see. This is only one bedroom house built on concrete base. The driver said it's very popular during summer but as long as I remember the rent was just far too expensive for me!
